Step aside, mother. Claudia Conway proves that sometimes, daughter knows best
A post shared by claudia conway (@claudiamconway)They say mother knows best, but in the case of Claudia Conway, we like to think daughter knows best. For those who have completely blocked out the last 6.5 years (I get it, it all went downhill after Trump was elected in 2016), Claudia Conway is the 18-year-old daughter of Kellyanne Conway, the former Senior Counselor to twice-impeached, once-indicted ex-president Donald Trump. In addition to being known for her hilariously scathing TikTok channel (which used to be a treasure trove of her sh*t-talking her mother), Claudia is also something of a queer icon. Last year, the social media maven came out by introducing her girlfriend on TikTok.
Target Losing Billions in Value Is Unlikely About Boycotts
Target's stock price has been trending downwards amid calls for a boycott of the retailer over its LGBTQ+ pride range, losing nearly 20 percent in value in the past two weeks. The rapid decline in the company's market valuation has been heralded by some as a sign of the boycott of the brand working, with $14 billion knocked off its market capitalization—the total value of Target shares. However, one market analyst told Newsweek that the recent backlash had precipitated a "probably negligible" effect on investor sentiments, with the most likely cause of the stock sell-off being a first quarter earnings report on May 17 which announced flat sales and a gloomy forecast for the rest of 2023.Jeremy Bowman, a contributing analyst at The Motley Fool, an investment advice firm, suggested that the latest results showed Target's coronavirus pandemic boom was over, and its valuation was being readjusted to its new sales expectations.Target's pride range, which appeared in stores around May 10, included rainbow-colored children's clothes, a T-shirt with the slogan "trans people will always exist," and a onesie with the words "bien proud" in the colors of the LGBTQ+ flag. The retail giant is not the only brand to face calls for a boycott over its advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community of late.

Bud Light Stock Suffers Huge Tumble as Company Loses $4 Billion in One Week
Anheuser-Busch InBev SA (AB InBev), the company that owns Bud Light, have slumped by 5.2 percent since last Friday, wiping more than $4 billion off the company's value as conservative activists continue a boycott.Bud Light has been targeted by right-wing campaigners since April over its partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, who received a personalized beer can from the brand as part of her Day 365 of Girlhood celebration. The Bud Light boycott has become a key test of conservative market firepower. A number of other companies, including Target and Kohl's, have been the targeted by boycotts in response to their LGBTQ advocacy, and in particular the sale of Pride-branded products aimed at children.Between Thursday and May 26, the value of an AB InBev share fell by 2.78 points, or 5.26 percent.
'The Chosen' Faces Boycott Calls After Pride Flag Spotted on Set
The Chosen has become the latest target of boycott calls from a faction of conservatives after an LGBTQ+ Pride flag was spotted on the Christian historical drama's set.Distributed internationally by Lionsgate Television, The Chosen is the first multi-series show that traces the life, death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. Some $45 million—mostly through crowdfunding—was spent on the first two seasons of the production.
