Gay couple humiliated on kiss-cam after receiving homophobic insult from announcer
Two men were subject to humiliation and homophobic abuse after they shared a kiss at an ice hockey fixture in Sheffield.
David Simms, an executive and public announcer at the Sheffield Steelers, ordered for security “to get rid of them” and deemed their kiss as “disgusting”.
The kiss-cam – which is a popular trait at American sporting events – was selecting couples to win free tickets as Simms made the derogatory comments about the pair.

“We’re aiming to highlight what is a gesture that is difficult for many in the LGBTI community and turn it into a celebration of love and by asking people to ‘hold tight,’ when they feel like letting go,” officials wrote in a blog post on ANZ’s website.

London’s Jewish community centre responded perfectly to some hateful graffiti scrawled across a banner promoting an LGBT+ event.
Someone graffitied over a banner promoting an LGBT+ event at the JW3 Jewish Community Centre in London’s Finchley Road.
According to the JW3 website: “The aim of JW3 is to transform the Jewish landscape in London by helping to create a vibrant, diverse and proud community, inspired by and engaged in Jewish arts, culture and community.”

An LGBT youth advocacy group in Charlotte, North Carolina, received a 1.5 million donation from a prestigious local family this week.
