The L Word: Generation Q Gets a Third Season from Showtime
The L Word: Generation Q’s second season finale last fall. But for those waiting with bated breath to find out what's next for Bette, Shane, Alice, Dani, Gigi, Sophie, Tess, and the rest of the gang from the reboot, Showtime confirmed Friday that there will be a third season, according to Variety. From executive producers Ilene Chaiken, Jennifer Beals, Kate Moennig, and Leisha Hailey, and showrunner Marja-Lewis Ryan, the reboot follows original characters Bette (Beals), Alice (Hailey), and Shane (Moennig) while also telling the stories of a new crew of LGBTQ+ characters who span a breadth of diversity within in the community.The series second season explored new relationships for the three originals with Bette finding a formidable match in artist Pippa Pascal (Vanessa Estelle Williams), Shane finally acting on that undeniable chemistry with Tess (Jamie Clayton), and newly published author Alice in a romance with her book editor Tom (Donald Faison).
