threatened him with lifetime imprisonment, Zuckerberg put on his gold chain and $900,000 watch to announce the end of Meta’s fact-checkers. He says it’s time for the company to return to its “roots around free expression,” coincidently right before D*n*ld Tr*mp is set to retake the White House. In particular, Zuckerberg singled out immigration and gender identity as two topics where restrictions would be lifted.
In true MAGA fashion, he says cracking down on anti-trans sentiment is “out of touch with mainstream discourse.” (But apparently, having an underling film you wakeboarding with an American flag every Fourth of July isn’t!)Stay woke with our briefing while staying informed on all things LGBTQ+ entertainment, life, and more!Mark Zuckerberg celebrates 4th of July in new video. pic.twitter.com/O755dxdWrdThere’s been ample coverage around Zuckerberg’s–or “Zuck,” as a bunch of cool guys surely call him–apparent red pilling. Some say the Meta founder is behaving like a typical tech oligarch, and cozying up to the incoming Trump administration.
The Federal Trade Commission is suing the company over alleged antitrust violations, with a trial set for April. Surely, Zuckerberg would love to settle that case. Calling Trump a “badass” and donating $1 million to his inaugural fund is one way to curry favor with the 78-year-old convicted felon.
But political expediency doesn’t fully explain Zuckerberg’s public turn. There’s the accessorizing, the baggy clothes, the shaggy hair, the… MMA training. Zuck is bro’ing out. Here is the full video from Mark Zuckerberg announcing the end of censorship and misinformation policies.
