Molson Coors Beverage Company and Dallas Area RapidTransit are joining forces to help Dallasites celebrate responsibly this New Year’s Eve with through Molson Coors’ longstanding New Year’s Eve Free Rides program.
Rides on all DART buses and light rail, on the Trinity River Express community rail, GoLink on-demand and paratransit services up and including CentrePort rail station are free from 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31, until the end of service that night.
Alison Hanrahan, community affairs manager for Molson Coors, said, “To ensure that those celebrating in Dallas have a reliable ride, we are excited to activate the Free Rides program once again across the U.S. this New Year’s Eve.
“In collaboration with DART, we are looking forward to fostering
community and fellowship as we ring in the New Year.”
The Free Rides program, which began in 1988, saw its highest ridership yet last year, with 200,000 people taking advantage of complimentary transit on New Year’s Eve. Over the past three years, the program has experienced a 36 percent increase in
Ridership, with the overall Free Rides program growing by 62 percent nationwide during the last three years.
Jeamy Molina, DART’s executive vice president and chief communications officer, said, “As an integral part of the Dallas-area communities, DART is proud to be partnering again with Coors Light to provide free, reliable transportation this New Year’s Eve. Whether you’re celebrating with friends or family, plan for DART to deliver you to and from your festivities.”
In 2024, Molson Coors also sponsored Free Rides in 10 cities across the U.S. for events such as St. Patrick’s Day and various sporting events.
Those joining in the New Year’s Eve festivities are encouraged to plan ahead for a free ride to or from their celebrations. Riders can visit the DART website to review routes and arrange transportation before the celebrations begin.
