“I deserve an apology”: Chappell Roan confronts “disrespectful” red carpet photographer

Chappell Roan called out a “disrespectful photographer in the most polite and epic way possible.

On 25 October, the pop superstar attended the Los Angeles premiere of Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS World Tour film.

During her time on the red carpet, Chappell delivered sickening poses in a red sheer ensemble and took part in adorable interactions with the ‘brutal’ singer.

In addition to serving in the fashion department, the singer-songwriter called out a photographer for their disrespectful behaviour at a previous event.

In a video posted to social media, the ‘Hot to Go’ artist is shown walking towards an off-camera photog before stating: “You were so disrespectful to me at the Grammys. You yelled at me at the Grammy party.

“I remember, and you were so rude to me. And I deserve an apology for that… You need to apologize.”

While it’s unclear whether the unidentified photographer apologized, Chappell ended their interaction by telling them not to “do that to another artist again.”

The video has since gone viral on social media, with many fans supporting the ‘Pink Pony Club’ singer.

One user wrote: “Actually love seeing women confront men who have wronged them in a society where women are taught to just take mistreatment quietly and with a smile like she’s actually so fucking mother, and she makes me want to stop being a coward thank you chappell roan I love you Chappell Roan.”

Another person echoed similar sentiments, writing: “Her saying “don’t do that to another artist again” oh Chappell Roan, they could never make me hate you.”

This isn’t Chappell’s first time shutting down a photographer’s abrasive behaviour.

Back in September, while attending the MTV Video Music Awards, the ‘Casual‘ singer had a heated exchange with a different paparazzi, who appeared to yell “shut the f**k up“ in her direction.

In response, Chappell boldly stated, “You shut the f**k up…. Not me bitch,“ which garnered a supportive reaction from other individuals on the carpet.
