Hallmark Channel has released a statement in response to an age discrimination lawsuit that was filed against the network.

Perry claims that Hallmark exec told her, “We need to bring in someone who knows more young talent. Our leading ladies are aging out.” She claims in the lawsuit that the network singled out Holly Robinson Peete, 60, and Lacey Chabert, 42, as being “old talent” who needed to be “replaced.”
Hallmark has responded to the claims.

“Lacey and Holly have a home at Hallmark. We do not generally comment on pending litigation. And while we deny these outrageous allegations, we are not going to discuss an employment relationship in the media,” the network told Variety.
