TikToker Jools Lebron has shared a heartwarming life update following the release of her viral “demure” video.
Over the last few months, pop culture enthusiasts have been treated to various iconic trends – including the Charli XCX-inspired BRAT summer and Tinashe’s “match my freak” moment from her hit song ‘Nasty.’
However, in recent weeks, a new trend has spread like wildfire on social media thanks to TikTok star Jools and her “demure” video.
Uploaded on 5 August, the social media star gives a quick lesson on how to be “demure and modest, and respectful” while at the workplace.
“See how I do my make-up for work? Very demure, very mindful. I don’t come to work with a green-cut crease. I don’t look like a clown when I go to work,” she cheekily explained.
“I don’t too much. I’m very mindful while I’m at work. See how I look very presentable; the way I came to the interview is the way I go to the job. A lot of you girls go to the interview looking like Marge Simpson and go to the job looking like Patty and Selma. Not demure.
“I’m very modest. I’m very mindful. You see my shirt? Only a little chi chi out, not my cho cho. Here’s your reality check diva. What’s the name you would like me to make it out to.”
Since sharing her informative video, it has gone viral on numerous social media platforms, with many users either showcasing their demure and cutesy moments or using the sound for meme purposes.
In addition to taking the online world by storm, the video has positively impacted Jool’s life, specifically her gender transition.
In an inspiring TikTok, posted on 13 August, the social media star revealed: “Maybe you should make the videos because one day I was playing cashier and making videos on my break, and now I’m flying across the country to host events, and I’m going to be able to finance the rest of my transition.”
It didn’t take long for Jools’ followers to swarm the comment section with supportive and demure-inspired messages.
