GEMMA Collins broke down in tears tonight over fears she'll self-harm again if she has a baby. The reality TV star became emotional when she spoke of her desire to have children in the Channel 4 documentary, Gemma Collins: Self-Harm & Me.

Gemma, who self-harmed for two decades, said through tears: "Because I now want to go on to have a family and stuff, I suppose there's just a part of me... "You hear about people have post natal depression, I don't ever want it to come back." Gemma, 41, stopped cutting herself for good ten years ago after fiance Rami Hawash walked in on her self-harming.

He appeared in the documentary tonight and spoke of the moment which left him "traumatised". Gemma also shared the memory with women in a therapy group and said: "I hid it for a long time but one night my boyfriend caught me, he's now my fiancé, this was like 10 years ago. "That hurt me more than anything." She later added: "He showed me compassion he said 'you can't do this to yourself'. "It's only when you look back you realise how much it hurt everyone around you." Gemma's mother Joan took part in the film and admitted she found it difficult to accept her daughter's mental health battle because Gemma had appeared to be a happy child.

Her mum laughed when Gemma confronted her about her struggles. Speaking to her mum, Gemma said: "Your and dad's approach was like: 'Let's never mention it.'" @font-face{font-family:'The Sun';src:url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Regular.woff2') format('woff2'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Regular.woff') format('woff'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Regular.ttf') format('truetype'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Regular.svg#').

Olympics, I saw my wildest dreams come true as I stood on the podium, an out gay silver medalist and one of the first women to swim the 1,500 meter event. I feel incredibly grateful that coming out as gay never kept me from being able to participate in the sport I love. All athletes—including transgender athletes—deserve to be respected and included, exactly as we are.Throughout my life, swimming has enabled me to learn so much both in and out of the pool, and transgender athletes should not be excluded from this opportunity.
