Jermain Defoe admits he wishes he joined the club years ago. The striker is a fan favourite at Ibrox after moving to Glasgow 18 months ago but an injury has kept him out of action for the first two competitive games of the season. That meant he was on duty to head to Ibrox on Thursday morning to help officially open the club's new store after a huge refit of the place.
The Rangers Store had been left struggling as the deal with Mike Ashley's Sports Direct came to an end but Castore spent an incredible £250k getting it into top shape.
And Defoe - along with new signing Leon Balogun - appeared at the opening, which was officially done by chairman Douglas Park.
