John Collins insists he still believes Kevin Nisbet can improve his work off the ball amid a row with the Hibs striker. Last week the pundit wrote the Scotland cap off as just a finisher ahead of the Scottish Cup semi-final.
The row took another turn as the 24-year-old fired back at "laughable" Collins having netted the opener in the win over Dundee United.
On BBC Sportsound the former Easter Road boss distanced himself from calling the striker "lazy" but wouldn't back down from his off the ball critique.
He compared Nibset to his former teammates Frank McAvennie and Mo Johnston - and insists the striker still has strides to take after his debut Premiership campaign.
