John Hughes has laughed off the suggestion he was taking half-time advice from John Collins - quipping he had ear muffs on. Hughes helped the Staggies reach safety thanks to a second half fight-back against Motherwell with goals from Iain Vigurs and Michael Gardyne ensuring their top flight status.
It's been a remarkable turnaround for the strugglers since Hughes came in with the club rock bottom of the Premiership. However, at the break it seemed as if Kilmarnock would be the team to avoid the play-off spot as they led in Hamilton and County trailed the Steelmen.
Hughes was seen having a long chat at half-time with former Celtic star Collins, but he wouldn't let the pundit take any credit.
