The life of the TV party, Lynde was a glass-closeted gay who for many of us was the first hint of what a queer man could be.

His story is compelling, as were his relatable neuroses. The people I know who knew him rave about his ability to be funny while reminding me that he could also go dark and become morose and embittered.

Sounds like a good movie to me. In his Deadline interview, Eichner notes: There is no gay Tom Hanks in this country. There is no gay Will Ferrell.
