Kit Connor has teased a more “adult” season of Heartstopper. On 3 October, Netflix’s acclaimed teen dramedy will return for a third season with Connor reprising his role as Nick Nelson, for which he memorably won the inaugural Children’s and Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Performance.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor was questioned on what fans can expect from the season, to which he responded: “We’ve aged it up a little bit.
It matures a little bit with the audience and as the characters grow up, you start to see them exploring more adult topics.” Connor continued to tease: “It gets a bit hotter, raunchier.
Yeah, it’s generally just a little bit mature but still the classic Heartstopper love.” Heartstopper season three will also see the return of Joe Locke as Charlie, Yasmin Finney as Elle, William Gao as Tao, Corinna Brown as Tara, Kizzy Edgell as Darcy, Tobie Donovan as Isaac, Jenny Walser as Tori and Rhea Norwood as Imogen.
