Emeli Sande ‘proud’ to headline Burberry British Diversity Awards with Stormzy, Alan Carr and Alison Hammond nominated

Emeli Sande has an exciting gig ahead after being announced as headliner for the Burberry British Diversity Awards.The Next To Me singer will grace the stage at the star-studded awards, which are set to take place at London’s Grosvenor House on March 22. Celebrating diversity and inclusion, the awards shine a spotlight on those earning achievements over the past year across ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity and religious belief. Former T4 presenter and ex-BBC diversity director June Sarpong will do the honours of hosting the event alongside TV medical expert Dr Ranj Singh. Attendees will be entertained by Brit Award-winning singer Emeli, 35, who will perform on the night. Speaking about the performance, Emeli said: ‘Performing at the Burberry British Diversity Awards 2023 is a real privilege and so when I was asked to be part of this special event, I immediately said yes! ‘I am looking forward to performing and showing my support to those who are fighting for equality and advancing rights. I’m very proud to be involved.’ Founder of the Burberry British Diversity Awards, Linda Riley, added: ‘It is a major coup to have chart-topping artist Emeli Sandé perform.
