Mother… has spoken. RuPaul has revealed which iconic Drag Race star should’ve taken home the crown on their season. On a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked the Emmy-winning host: “Is there someone who didn’t win Drag Race over all the seasons, that in your mind [you think should have won]?”  Almost immediately, RuPaul answered: “Shangela.

Shangela. She’s amazing. We’ve actually put her on the show, like, three times? Something like that. She’s a fabulous queen.”  Shangela made her franchise debut on the show’s second season.

After being eliminated in last place, RuPaul recognised her potential and brought her back the following year, where she won two challenges and landed in sixth place.

Shangela subsequently became the first queen to compete on three seasons when she sashayed into the werkroom doors for All Stars 3.
