Three Months cast members Troye Sivan and Javier Muñoz join the film’s director and writer Jared Frieder in conversation with GLAAD's Anthrony Ramos about making the film, the story told, and the continued stigma around HIV.Three Months is described as “a coming-of-age comedy-drama that tells the story of Caleb [Sivan], a South Florida teen who loves his camera, his weed, and his grandmother.”Right before he graduates high school, however, Caleb finds out that he’s been exposed to HIV.

The film then follows Caleb in the three months he waits for test results to come back to see if he has HIV or not. Along the way, he finds love “in the most unlikely places.”Sivan leads a cast that also includes Viveik Kalra (Blinded by the Light), Brianne Tju (Light as a Feather, 47 Meters Down), Academy Award winner Ellen Burstyn (The Exorcist, Interstellar), Judy Greer (Archer, Halloween) Munoz (In the Heights, Hamilton), Academy Award winner Louis Gossett, Jr. (Watchmen, An Officer and a Gentleman), and Amy Landecker (Transparent, Dan in Real Life).Three Months is Jared Frieder's directorial debut.Watch the cast and director discuss taking the film from idea to production and how they hope the film will help destigmatize HIV and those who live with it.And check out an exclusive clip of the film below. Catch Three Months, on Paramount+ starting Wednesday, February 23. .
