Hi Jake,I go to a pretty gay (aka cruisy) gym and the showers in the men’s locker room tend to be pretty, um showy, if you know what I mean. In that environment, you can’t help but notice other guys naked, and sometimes I compare them to myself. A while back, it seemed like all the guys in the locker room were shaved or heavily trimmed.
Now, I’m seeing more hair down there, yet still pretty trimmed elsewhere (chest, body, etc.). I especially notice it with younger guys in their 20s.
I’m wondering… Does public hair-length follow trends that I should be paying attention to? Is Gen Z bringing the bush back? And how do I decide what’s right for me?Groomed For SuccessSubscribe to our newsletter for a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.Dear Groomed For Success,Comparing ourselves to others is natural—though often unproductive.
It’s no secret that gay men, especially in environments like a gym, often feel an unspoken pressure to measure up—literally and figuratively—to others.
