Donald Trump signed his latest trans-bashing executive order titled "Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports," barring transgender women and girls from competing in female sports.

His administration claims the order aligns with Title IX, which prohibits sex-based discrimination in federally funded education programs and extends federal oversight into private sector policies. This latest action is part of a political dog-whistle campaign targeting transgender rights.

While opportunist conservatives frame trans participation in sports as an urgent issue, transgender athletes make up less than half of 1 percent of high school competitors.

At the college level, only about 30 openly trans athletes compete nationwide. In the interest of fearmongering for political gain, misinformation has been spread by conservative religious groups searching for a new "wedge issue" after marriage equality became law.The truth?
