For this week’s maxi-challenge, the remaining queens were tasked with tapping into their comedy bag for the first-ever Reading Battles.
“Bring your best burns to the main stage and roast your partner down the house boots. The winner of each battle will earn themselves a top placement. While the loser will be in the bottom and possibly up for elimination,” Brad Goreski explained to the ladies.
After testing out their material in front of guest judge Samantha Bee, the queens headed to the mainstage for the Reading Battle Challenge.
Throughout the shadefest, most contestants delivered an array of hilarious and cheeky reads, leaving the judges’ panel and live studio audience in stitches.
Ultimately, Kennedy was named the winner, and Fierce, Alexis and Eureka were the bottoms of the week, with the latter sashaying away.
While the recent episode received praise for its creative maxi-challenge, some viewers have expressed disappointment over it not featuring a runway segment.

Another viewer echoed similar sentiments, writing: “Why is there no runway and critiques in the middle of the challenge. This episode is tanking a bit I fear.”
Fans weren’t the only ones upset over the episode’s lack of a runway looks.
Shortly after the episode aired, Fierce took to her X page to air out her grievances with the production team, writing: “Bitch lemme cuss @canadasdragrace right now… Why would you not air our runways that most of us spent a lot of money on.
“I’m actually so mad ’cause the look I wore on stage was altered from my original runway.”
Her critiques over the decision didn’t stop there, with the Canada’s Drag Race star claiming that she and the other queens were assured that they would walk the runway.
