Heartbroken loved ones of missing teen Jay Slater have blasted sick trolls for telling "horrible lies" about his disappearance as the search for him continues.
The mystery surrounding the apprentice bricklayer has led to numerous rumours and stories circulating online, from false claims his body had been found to accusations they were 'partying on boats' instead of searching for him.
The mother of Jay's best friend, Rachel Harg, is admin of the Find Jay Slater Facebook group and has hit out over the trolling, slamming one fake post, saying it left her "absolutely heartbroken".
The Mirror reports she was incensed after a video was circulated claiming she was partying on a boat instead of searching for the 19-year-old, who has been missing since June 17.
She said: "This is another horrible lie about myself firstly this isn't me ! ! I took the video on my last holiday on a boat trip the lady in this video I don't know it was just me videoing the trip I was on with my family." [sic]
"Secondly this was when I went to Turkey in April this clip someone stole it and saying am in Tenerife partying. I am here looking for my sons best friend not partying if anyone did see this ! ! ! ! ! !"
