Game of Thrones spinoff series House of the Dragon was renewed for a second season, following the success of the first ever episode.

The series is a prequel to the hit series Game of Thrones, which came to an end in 2019 after eight seasons. House of the Dragon was renewed just six days after the release of the first episode and became the most watched pilot in HBO history.
