Kylie Minogue has been announced as Sydney WorldPride’s headline performer at its opening ceremony in 2023. The Live and Proud: Sydney WorldPride Opening Concert is set to take place at The Domain on 24 February and will see the Spinning Around singer deliver a set especially made for the evening.

It will be her only performance at Sydney WorldPride. “For the first time ever, WorldPride is coming to the Southern Hemisphere,” Kylie said of the occasion. “YES!

I’m so excited to announce that I will be performing at the opening concert in Sydney on 24 February, 2023 at The Domain. Can’t wait to see you there!” Hosted by Courtney Act and Casey Donovan, the opening will be broadcast nationally on ABC TV.

Kate Wickett, the CEO of Sydney WorldPride and first woman to hold the position, shared her excitement over having Kylie perform. “Kylie is not only a beloved musician and rainbow icon, but the highest selling Australian-born solo artist of all time,” she said. “We are honoured and INCREDIBLY excited to have Kylie again stand with our community at Sydney WorldPride 2023 – the global rainbow family reunion we’ve been waiting for.” Further acts are expected to be announced in due course.
