started out friends — and then Kelly Clarkson witnessed their marriage. The gay couple, who tied the knot at Kelly Clarkson’s Las Vegas concert on New Year’s Eve, revealed that they are still in shock days later.“It still doesn’t feel real,” Brian Artzt exclusively told The Post in an interview Wednesday. “The shock is very much still in both of us.” Artzt, who works as an assistant principal at Bronx Health Sciences HS in Baychester, also revealed that the “American Idol” alum had played a special role in their relationship from Day 1. “[We] loved her from the moment we saw her on ‘American Idol,'” the newlyweds explained, and they met a few days after Clarkson’s 2009 song “My Life Would Suck Without You” hit the radio. “Our first meeting ended up being all about Kelly,” Artzt gushed. “She was basically all we talked about.

The couple also said that they have tried several times to get Clarkson, 41, to be a part of their wedding. “We actually had no idea that it was going to happen,” Artzt confessed. “We had tried many times at previous concerts to get her attention.” According to the educator, things changed when they managed to slip the songstress a T-shirt that read: “Kelly, will you be the witness at our Vegas wedding?” as the singer walked by them.
Artzt said that he had no idea if “she would actually read it at that moment.” In a now-viral video that was posted to X (formerly Twitter), the “A Moment Like This” singer can be seen conversing with the two engaged men, who tell her that they want her to be a part of the impromptu ceremony. “Oh, it is tonight!
