Joe Biden and Kamala Harris took over the US presidency. Not only because it meant Donald Trump was no longer in power but for the changes they immediately made to protect human rights.One of the first actions they took was reinstating into law an anti-discrimination order that bans prejudice against sexual orientation and gender identity.
The policy was originally removed by the Trump administration, and was one of many human rights protections they had withdrawn during the last four years.Even though reinstating the policy sent a very powerful message, the wording of the executive order is really quite basic.
