Key West Installs New Permanent Rainbow Crosswalks To Show ‘Everybody Is Welcome’

New rainbow crosswalks were installed on Monday at the intersection of Duval and Petronia streets in Key West, Florida, which is considered the heart of the island’s LGBTQ entertainment district.

The permanent crosswalks, composed of pre-formed thermoplastic color stripes, feature long bands of all six colors of the rainbow flag, an internationally recognized LGBTQ symbol.
