The Queer Chorus of San Francisco performed during the city's observance of Harvey Milk Day Sunday, May 22, in Jane Warner Plaza in the LGBTQ Castro neighborhood.

Other groups that participated included Rise Up 4 Abortion, in which people donned costumes from "The Handmaid's Tale" to protest in support of reproductive rights.

LGBTQ political leaders also spoke on the day of special significance in California that commemorates Milk's birthday. Milk, the first openly gay person elected to office in the city and state, would have turned 92.
