Manchester Pride and a legendary bar in the Gay Village are among the hopefuls shortlisted ahead of a glitzy national awards night to be held in the city.
The star-studded Gaydio Pride Awards will return for a third year to the city centre next month, hosted by the UK's LGBTQ+ station Gaydio, which was first founded in Manchester in 2006.
The national ceremony, previously attended by stars including the likes of Russel T Davies, Layton Williams and Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham, champions regional and grassroots efforts whose work betters the lives of the LGBTQ+ community across the UK.
Previous performers included multi-Brit winning musician Raye, Jazzy and Drag Race UK winner Danny Beard. Those shortlisted in the various award categories, which include Influencer of the Year, Event of the Year, Pride Organisation of the Year and Venue of the Year, will be honoured at the glitzy ceremony on March 14 at Manchester’s Hilton Hotel on Deansgate.
