"It's Christmas... we need him home": Urgent appeal to find missing man, 22, last seen days ago in the Gay Village

An urgent appeal has been launched to find a missing man last seen in Manchester's Gay Village. Tyler, 22, was last known to be on Canal Street at around 12am on Friday (December 20).

Greater Manchester Police has issued a public Christmas Day appeal to help trace him. He was last seen wearing a bright red ‘Lorenzo’ puffa jacket, black t-shirt, light grey jeans and white trainers with red laces.

Tyler, whose surname was not disclosed by police, is described as being 5ft 8ins tall of slim build with mousy brown hair and blue eyes. He has a tattoo of a rose on his right hand and initials ‘DW’ behind his left ear.

Sharing the public appeal on social media on December 24, a relative wrote: "Has anyone seen my brother around Stockport / Manchester area?

"It's Christmas Day tomorrow and we all need him home. We’re all worrying as he’s got no phone on him, his mental state isn’t the best and he’s got no money."

Greater Manchester Police shared a picture of Tyler along with an image of the red coat he was last thought to have been wearing when he disappeared.

"Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about Tyler and want to make sure he is found safe and well," the force said.

Anyone with information about Tyler's whereabouts should contact police on 0161 856 9721 quoting log 2405 24/12/2024.
