Drag Race Down Under: Here’s how fans reacted to Michelle Visage as host

Drag Race Down Under season four has finally arrived, and fans have shared their honest opinions on Michelle Visage’s hosting performance.

The search for ‘Down Under’s Next Drag Superstar’ continued on Friday (1 November) with 10 fierce new queens: Brenda Bressed, Freya Armani, Karna Ford, Lazy Susan, Lucina Innocence, Mandy Moobs, Max Drag Queen, Nikita Iman, Olivia Dreams and Vybe.

Like previous entries, the champion will take home a one-year supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills Cosmetics and a cash prize of $50,000.

Season four also ushers in a new era for the Down Under franchise, with Michelle taking over as host and past Down Under contestants sitting on the judges’ panel.

For their first maxi-challenge, the new batch of queens were tasked with delivering two different looks on the runway.

“The first category is ‘Double Dressin.’ Each of you must present a two-in-one reveal showcasing two dramatically different looks,” Michelle explained.

“And the second category is ‘Double Dippin’. As you know, prior to your arrival, you were randomly assigned a color and asked to present a showstopping look for the runway. But what you don’t know is that we doubled up on the colours.

“That means two of you will be wearing red, two in gold, two in orange, two in purple and two in blue. And on the runway, you’ll be walking together with your colour buddy, and the judges will decide which queen wore it better.”

After sashaying down the main stage in their stunning ensembles, Michelle named Lazy Susan the winner of the maxi-challenge before placing Lucina and Karna in the bottom.

To the beat of Troye Sivan’s ‘Rush’, the two drag talents delivered an epic smackdown; filled with hairography, kicks, splits and passion.

However, in true Drag Race fashion, Michelle surprised Lucina and Karna by saving them both from elimination.

Shortly after the Drag Race Down Under premiere, fans flocked to social media to share their reactions to the episode – with many
