The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation today applauded a just-released decision by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to reduce the deferral period for men who have sex with men donating blood and plasma from 12 months between when they last have sex and when they donate blood to three months.
The FDA posted the revised recommendations this morning (Thursday, April 2), and GLAAD announced the change on Twitter shortly after, with a link to the FDA’s official “Guidance for Industry”
