Ashley Banjo has been announced as the co-host of the glittering Pride of Britain Awards this year. Diversity star Ashley, 33, with present the accolades to this year's winners alongside the stunning Carol Vorderman.

Ashley's new role is a first for Pride of Britain, as the ceremony is usually solely hosted by stunning former Countdown star Carol, 60.

Speaking about the exciting new opportunity, which will see Ashley and Carol honour this year's winners in a stunning ceremony at Grosvenor House in Park Lane in London, Ashley said: "I feel like I've been a part of Pride of Britain for a few years now but the chance to co-host it next to Carol, who is a complete legend and a pro, is amazing.
