Heartstopper star Kit Connor has joined the cast of upcoming film A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow. The film is based on the best-selling novel by Laura Taylor Namey and tells the story of Lila Reyes, played by Maia Reficco.

When Lila’s grandmother passes away, she leaves her ordinary life at the Cuban bakery in Miami and spends a summer in the British countryside at her aunt’s inn.

Lila falls in love with the scenery, baking and also has a charming tea shop clerk love interest, who is said to be played by Connor.

Reficco (Do Revenge) and Kate del Castillo (Queen of the South) have also joined the cast. Although specific roles have not been confirmed, it’s likely that Reficco will star as Lila, and Castillo as her aunt.
