Here’s your first look at Ncuti Gatwa’s Doctor Who debut
The BBC has finally released the first sneak peek of Ncuti Gatwa’s Doctor Who debut. Spoilers ahead On 23 October, Jodie Whittaker ended her expansive run as the 13th Doctor during the series’ latest special, The Power of the Doctor.
While the episode was full of action and emotional Thasmin moments, viewers were left shocked after the 13th Doctor regenerated into David Tennant’s version of the titular character.
The Fright Night actor had previously portrayed the 10th Doctor from 2005 to 2010. Shortly after the episode aired, the BBC released a teaser trailer for Doctor Who’s new 2023 specials – which featured Tennant as the 14th Doctor, the return of Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) and the first appearance of Gatwa as the 15th time lord.
In the brief clip, Tenant can be heard saying, “I don’t know who I am anymore”, while shots of explosions, a scared Donna and devious Neil Patrick Harris flash across the screen.
