Gael Garcia Bernal to portray cross-dressing gay wrestler Cassandro
Gael Garcia Bernal is preparing to don drag and step into the ring to play gay wrestler Cassandro in a new biopic.The movie will chronicle the life of Texas-born Saul Armendariz, who quit school at 15 to pursue his dream of competing in Mexico’s professional wrestling circuit, known as Lucha Libre, in which fighters famously wear colorful masks.He initially began brawling as Mister Romano, before deciding to become an “exotico” – a male wrestler who dresses in drag – performing as Baby Sharon, and then establishing himself as Cassandro.He made history in 1992 by becoming the first exotico to win a World Lightweight Championship title in the Universal Wrestling Association (UWA), shortly after surviving a suicide attempt.Cassandro would

The Texas State Guard (TXSG) is the state military force of Texas, and one of three branches of the Texas Military Forces. Along with the other two branches, the TXSG falls under the command of the Governor of Texas and is administered by the Adjutant General of Texas an appointee of the Governor. The other two branches of the Texas Military Forces are the Texas Army National Guard and the Texas Air National Guard.
The mission of the Texas State Guard (TXSG) is to provide mission-ready military forces to assist state and local authorities in times of state emergencies, to conduct homeland security and mission support activities under the umbrella of Defense Support to Civil Authorities, and to augment the Texas Army National Guard and Texas Air National Guard as required.
