A shooting in the parking lot of Market Street Safeway in the Castro left one person injured late Tuesday afternoon. The shooting took place during a fight involving "a large group of juveniles," according to a story in the San Francisco Chronicle.
The young people were reportedly fighting in the store's parking lot at 2020 Market Street at 4:50 p.m. when the victim was shot in the leg.
The victim was taken to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center for treatment.San Francisco Police Department investigations commander Raj Vaswani posted about the incident on Twitter shortly after it occurred.
