Steamy streamer Hasan Piker takes a break from thirst trapping to offer insight on the election’s most surprising trend

A post shared by Hasan Piker (@hasandpiker)We usually write about steamy streamer Hasan Piker when the leftist content creator regales audiences with sultry pics of his pits and hairy chest. But there is a lot of substance beneath the thirst.

Piker’s keen, if not somewhat controversial, political observations are the real reason he’s amassed millions of followers on YouTube and Twitch–though again, his bulging biceps don’t hurt!During a recent conversation on Crooked Media’s “Offline,” a podcast hosted by former Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau, Piker presented one of his explanations for why so many young men are turning right. The gender divide among members of Gen Z is deeper than any other generation, with young women favoring Kamala Harris by 38 points and young men favoring her opponent by 13 points.

That’s a 51-point gap! Stay woke with our briefing while staying informed on all things LGBTQ+ entertainment, life, and more! While dwindling economic prospects are certainly a factor, Piker says there’s a strong cultural component, too. Male spaces online are dominated by right-wing voices, whether the topic is fitness or history.

“If you’re a dude under the age of 30, and you have any hobbies whatsoever—whether it’s playing video games, whether it’s working out, whether it’s listening to a history podcast, or whatever—every single facet of that is completely dominated by center-right to, I wouldn’t say far-right in the same way it was in the 2016 era at the end of the Obama Administration, but like, definitely center-right to Trumpian right,” Piker explained. im glad @hasanthehun is sounding the alarm about the right wing’s total dominance over the young male demo

if you’re a dude under 30 you see it in your groupchats/social feeds everyday

so far, the progressive establishment has failed to invest in creative solutions to compete pic.twitter.com/2C0Xhu9HxRTrump is clearly trying to exploit the growing gender gap, with appearances on bro-centric podcasts hosted by

My husband kicked me out of our hotel room for a hookup. Can an open relationship go too far?
Hi Jake,My husband and I are in an open marriage and pretty liberal about it. We don’t really get jealous. There are occasional annoyances, like when he hooks up instead of sticking to plans, but overall, we prioritize communication and trust. That said… last week on vacation in Miami, he met a guy on Grindr and wanted to bring him back to our hotel room. He asked if the guy was open to both of us, but he wasn’t. Then my husband actually asked me to step out so they could have the room to themselves. Subscribe to our newsletter for a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.I was caught off guard but agreed—until I found myself wandering South Beach in the heat for two hours, waiting for the “all clear” text. That’s when frustration set in. How did I end up kicked out of my own hotel room on my own vacation?Usually, our hookups happen elsewhere, but this felt different. Am I overreacting, or did he cross a line? Do I need to set firmer boundaries to prevent this from happening again? Can an open relationship go too far?No VacancyDear No Vacancy,Ah, Miami—sun, sand, and, apparently, a long humid stroll with absolutely nowhere to go while your man enjoyed the comfort of your hotel room! Probably not the kind of relaxation you had in mind when you booked this trip…From what you’ve shared, you and your husband have built a relationship on trust, communication, and a shared understanding that being with others doesn’t threaten your bond — until now.
