North Texas artist Ted Kincaid is known for his work that “subverts the notion of an objective photographic record and examines the play between painting and photography,” taking on topics ranging from poetry to politics, from sexuality to climate change.
He is also known as an icon of the North Texas LGBTQ community, alongside his husband, activist Steve Atkinson — which is why he is among the artists showcased in Pride Then and Now, a curated selection of art drawn from AT&T’s Corporate Art Collection and from the Dallas area, on view now at the AT&T Discovery District Showcase Gallery, 208 S.
