Gregory Wayne Abbott (born November 13, 1957) is an American attorney who has served as the 48th governor of Texas since January 20, 2015. A member of the Republican Party, Abbott previously served as the 50th attorney general of Texas from 2002 to 2015. He is the third governor of any U.S. state to permanently use a wheelchair. He is also the first disabled governor in Texas history.
Dallas LGBTQ bars holding the line on masks
According to a post today (Monday, March 8) on social media by Lee Daugherty, owner of Alexandre’s, Dallas’ LGBTQ bars are choosing to follow the science, not partisan politics, when it comes to taking precautions against COVID-19.
Daugherty said that a a number of “Oak Lawn bars” met via Zoom today and all agree to “hold the line with previous health precautions for the time being” in terms of requiring customers to wear masks and observe proper social distancing guidelines, even though Gov.
