HBO has released another teaser for its upcoming series, The Idol, and it’s set to feature more LGBTQ+ talent. Over the last few months, TV viewers have been clamouring to watch the upcoming series – created by singer Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye and Euphoria’s Sam Levinson.
The show is set to follow the turbulent relationship between rising pop star Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp) and a Los Angeles-based self-help guru (The Weeknd), who also happens to be the leader of a cult.
On 21 August, the popular cable network released the second teaser trailer for the highly anticipated series, featuring appearances from Schitt’s Creek star Dan Levy and Assassination Nation’s Hari Nef.
At the start of the clip, we see a mysterious character answer their cellphone before saying “Hello Angel” to an unknown caller.
