Dallas Police Chief U. Renee Hall Dallas Police Chief U. Renee Hall sent her resignation letter to Dallas City Manager T.C. Broadnax.
He accepted her resignation effective Nov. 10. He alerted the city council and Hall has notified her command staff. Hall lost the confidence of much of the city council over a number of issues relating to the protest on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, especially the use of tear gas on peaceful protesters.
