Emma Raducanu suffered a straight-sets defeat in her first appearance since winning the US Open last month, with world No.100 Aliaksandra Sasnovich dumping her out of Indian Wells.Raducanu, 18, etched her name into tennis folklore by claiming victory at Flushing Meadows in September, becoming the first ever qualifier to win a Grand Slam tournament. However, on Friday the Brit came crashing back down to earth in the second round of Indian Wells, where she was beaten in straight sets (6-2, 6-4) by Sasnovich. The Belarusian star prevailed in the Californian desert, winning four games in a row to seal a shock victory.Yet if not for her stunning triumph at the Open, this result would have been very much expected as Sasnovich, a former top 30.
