Ezra Miller, known for their role as The Flash, released a statement following a string of legal issues and abuse allegations.
A representative of Miller’s provided a statement to Variety, where the actor addressed their actions over the last few years. “Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment,” said Miller. “I want to apologise to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behaviour.
I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.” The actor plates DC Universe superhero Barry Allen in the 2017 film, Justice League and its 2021 counterpart, Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
The 29-year-old has been involved in a number of serious incidents. In 2020 a video surfaced where the actor appeared to have strangled a woman.
