Sign up to the weekly West Lothian Courier newsletter for the latest West Lothian news and sport.A thug knocked a woman unconscious with a punch and made homophobic remarks during an attack on Edinburgh’s Princes Street.Dale Greenan struck the woman on her head, causing her to collapse to the pavement, after he’d hurled twisted abuse.Moments before launching the assault, Greenan, 32, said: “This dyke shouldn’t be entitled to an opinion.”Victim Jade Dickson needed hospital treatment for a bruised eye, a laceration and swelling to her nose, and a chipped tooth.Greenan admitted the assault during his appearance at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday.He also pled guilty to shouting, swearing, acting in an aggressive manner, and repeatedly.
