James Gunn revealed a little known fact about 2002′s popular Scooby-Doo movie, which he wrote the script for.
Over the weekend, the 53-year-old filmmaker responded to a fan who urged him to return to the franchise and write Velma, who was played by Linda Cardellini, as gay.

In 2001 Velma was explicitly gay in my initial script,” James wrote back.
