Netflix reached a critical point on Wednesday, Netflix released a statement ahead of the planned employee walkout saying they "understand the deep hurt" many of its staffers have been faced with in the wake of Dave Chapelle's latest comedy special."We value our trans colleagues and allies, and understand the deep hurt that's been caused," a Netflix spokesperson said on Wednesday. "We respect the decision of any employee who chooses to walk out, and recognize we have much more work to do both within Netflix and in our content."Netflix employees are planning to walk out on Wednesday in protest of Chapelle's standup special The Closer, which debuted on the streaming platform two weeks ago.While the comedy special has garnered public criticisms.
