Olivia Colman has showcased her support for her Hearstopper co-star Kit Connor after he was forced to out himself as bisexual.
Back in October, the young talent made headlines when he confirmed his sexuality on Twitter following months of harassment from “fans.” “Back for a minute.
I’m bi. Congrats for forcing an 18-year-old to out himself,” he wrote. “I think some of you missed the point of the show. Bye.” Before his forced admission, “fans” accused the Rocketman actor of “queerbaiting” after they began to speculate about his connection with his A Cuban Girls Guide to Tea and Tomorrow co-star Maia Reficco – who’s also openly queer.
Since coming out, Connor has received an array of supportive messages from fans, industry professionals and his Heartstopper co-stars, like Colman.
