Brittney Griner’s wife, Cherelle, has opened up about reuniting with the WNBA star in a new interview. Fortunately, Cherelle was finally able to “exhale” when President Biden announced that Griner was finally returning home, following 10 months of detention. “I had thought about that moment a thousand times, and I thought I would be full of tears.
But I was overwhelming happy,” she said. “I [was] like, ‘Oh, thank God, this is such a great day.” Cherelle then went on to open up about their heartwarming reunion at the airport – which she described as a surreal moment. “We were both just instantly crying.
