From Chappell Roan to Troye Sivan, these are queer Grammy nominees making some noise this year
sprawling complete list of nominations here, but scroll down for some queer highlights…Chappell Roan cements her superstar status with an incredible showing and six nominations total—not too shabby for a drag queen, eh? Her incredible late 2023 album The Rise & Fall of A Midwest Princess scored Album Of The Year and Pop Vocal Album nods, while breakthrough single “Good Luck Babe” was recognized in Song, Record, and Pop Solo Performance. And, with her deserved Best New Artist honor, Roan (along with Sabrina Carpenter) joins a small but iconic group of performers who received a nomination in each of the “Big Four Categories” (Album, Song, Record, New Artist) in a single year—a group that also includes the likes of Cyndi Lauper, Amy Winehouse, Sam Smith, and Mariah Carey.
