Rod Stewart’s wife Penny Lancaster has officially passed her Special Constable training with the City of London Police. The 51-year-old posed proudly with a certificate declaring she had completed the programme on Tuesday October 25, after a passing out ceremony with her colleagues.
Sharing pictures and videos of the parade, forces charity Care of Police Survivors applauded their patron for her service to policing.
They wrote: “Congratulations to COPS patron Penny Lancaster with her passing out certificate.” The mum-of-two has been patrolling the streets as a volunteer officer since April 2021 after appearing in the Channel 4 show Famous And Fighting Crime, in which celebrities swapped their day jobs with those of emergency service professionals.
She reportedly made her first arrest after spotting a suspected drug-driver in March this year.Just months later, the former model told how she would be helping to police the Queen’s funeral in September - describing it as “the biggest honour”.She manned the barriers near Queen Victoria's Memorial, where she made sure the public remained safe during the procession and offered advice about exiting the Mall.Fans applauded Penny and her newly qualified colleagues for their dedication and selfless work.Keith Bramhall said: “Massive respect for Penny.
